Their actual debut studio album, De Monterrey a Sinaloa, was featured with the hit single “Un Par de Cerdos”.īetween radio broadcasts and video views on the internet and television, the band not only hit the charts and received massive airplay, but also began touring throughout Mexico and the United States. Later that year, Banda la Trakalosa released an anthology of the same name, which included all of their singles, a new song called “Concha del Alma” and several fan favorites. It was released less than a month after the composer’s own version, and both songs topped the charts. In early 2012, Banda la Trakalosa recorded a cover of “Doble Vida” by Salvador Aponte. Banda la Trakalosa also assisted El Pelon del Mikrophone on their dance hit “La Cumbia Tribalera”. It not only topped the radio charts in northern Mexico, but was broadcast nationally and in the southwestern United States. Their second single, “San Lunes”, was released in November and has a more distinct Monterrey flavor. It entered the Top 20 of many Mexican radio charts. In June, the band recorded Remex’s first single, “Después de Ti No Hay Nada”. The new unit was renamed Banda la Trakalosa de Monterrey. Bravely, he hired musicians from Sonora, Oaxaca, Jalisco, Guanajuato and Monterrey. In March of the following year, half of his team members left the group to form another group. In October, he signed a contract with Remex Music. Following an invitation from former members of La Real Banda Chilera to form a new group, Edwin Luna formed the first version of the group, Banda la Escandalosa, in 2010.
